Bucks County: New Hope, PA Condominium

This New Hope, PA condominium underwent a transformative renovation, turning an outdated 1980s interior into a modern, cosmopolitan retreat that feels both fresh and timeless. YZDA reimagined the space by opening up the previously enclosed living room to create a bright, airy environment that flows seamlessly into a custom-designed kitchen. This thoughtful transformation not only enhances the natural light but also fosters a sense of openness and connectivity, inviting residents to move freely and comfortably throughout the home.

Drawing inspiration from Northern European aesthetics, the design captures a contemporary, urban vibe that perfectly complements the tranquil suburban riverside setting. The sophisticated palette of warm, neutral tones is both calming and enduring, serving as a backdrop that exudes elegance. Contrasting elements like dark ebony wood floors and deep silver-grey stone add visual depth and tactile richness, creating an interplay of textures that feels grounded yet refined.

Custom European furniture pieces, a plush white upholstered sofa, and an earth-tone patterned area rug add layers of comfort and sophistication to the space. These elements are carefully curated to create a refined yet inviting atmosphere, one that reflects the client's understated lifestyle and appreciation for subtle luxury. ペンシルバニア州はYZDAが拠点とするニュージャージー州と隣接する州で、ニューホープはデラウェア川沿いの小さなリゾート地。海外からのクライアントの依頼で、１９８０年代に建設されたコンドミニアムを全面改装することになりました。キッチンを中心とした暮らしができるようなデザインしてほしいと依頼を受けしました。

ライフスタイルに合わせた間取りを作り、そしてインテリア空間に新たな付加価値をつけるリノベーションとして空間を生まれ変わらせました。一部の基礎建築を残し、まずは全ての壁を取り除くこと、そしてキッチンを中心にデザインされたこの空間は、ダイニングルームとリビングルームをつなげて明るく開放的にしました。ドイツ製のカスタムキッチン、デンマーク製とイタリア製の家具を使用し、シンプルさと清潔感を際立たせるよう心掛けました。 アメリカンブラックウオールナットの木の床の暖かさに加え、真っ白を基調としたスペースにモスグリーンと白のラッカー素材のキッチンキャビエットを使いました。壁一面にデザインされた大きめの窓から差し込む光は、クライアントの希望通り明るく、そして清潔感の溢れるコンテンポラリーな空間となりました。
